Barrel Aged 4-pack Release
From the dark depths of the barrels Ballast Point Scripps Ranch brings Barrel-aged Ballast Point Victory at Sea. The brewery aged the Ballast Point Victory at Sea Imperial Porter (with cold-steeped coffee and vanilla) in High West Distillery bourbon and rye whiskey oak casks, then blended them to create new layers of complexity — notes of soft caramel and smoky oak over a rich dark chocolate and roasted almond body.
A very limited release of these 12-ounce bottle 4-packs (12 percent ABV) will be held this Saturday, Nov. 11, at all Ballast Point locations. Ballast Point Scripps Ranch is located at 10051 Old Grove Road.
Active SR Singles plan wine tasting
The Active Scripps Ranch Singles group will travel to Ramona for a wine tasting event on Sunday, Nov. 12 (time TBA). The group will carpool from Scripps Ranch and head up to the Milargro Winery (milagrowinery.com) on the corner of Old Julian Road and State Route 78. In addition to wine tasting, the winery has music and a food truck, plus Julian apple pie is nearby. There are also walking trails and a pond, and it’s pet friendly. Depending on how long the group stays, it’s possible it will hit a winery or two on the way back. An update will be sent to those who sign up. RSVP to email@example.com.
