Live music at Little Italy
Little Italy Bar & Grill will feature live music with Roman Palacios on vocals and Tommy Gannon on keyboards from 8 to 11 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 12.

Inspired by early legends of the ’30s, ’40s, ’50s and ’60s, Roman Palacios vocal styling, delivery and phrasing are reminiscent of the greats: Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, Dean Martin, Placido Domingo. His presence is commanding. His voice is smooth, cool, powerful and refined.

Tommy Gannon, an accomplished musician, has performed on piano with some of the best-known personalities of the entertainment world, including Bob Hope, Steve Allen, Henry Mancini, and Frank Sinatra.

Together, Palacios and Gannon will entertain the diners for a night to remember.

Keni Yarbro will provide smooth sounds live at Sanctuary Lounge starting at 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 12. He will be followed DJ Gavin until 1:30 a.m.

DJ GiGi will spin from 9 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. starting on Saturday night, Jan. 13, straight from 95.7 to Sanctuary Lounge. She is sure to have the crowd on the dance floor.

Scripps Ranch Farmer’s Market
The Scripps Ranch Farmers Market offers a wide variety of vendors from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. every Saturday at 10380 Spring Canyon Road, in the Innovations Academy parking lot. Star Wars digital photo at Unleashed
Stop by or swing in with your pet between 1 and 4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 13, for a digital photo in which your pet is the star in a special Star Wars photo opportunity. In addition, the entire stock of Star Wars Pet Fans collection will be 25 percent off.

Library hours
The Scripps Miramar Ranch library will be closed on Martin Luther King, Jr., Day, Monday, Jan. 15. It will be open regular hours Tuesday through Saturday.

No school on Monday
All public schools in Scripps Ranch will be closed on Monday, Jan. 15, in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. There will be no school on this day. This federal holiday celebrates the accomplishments and ideals of Dr. King, a major civil rights leader on the national stage in the 1960s who used nonviolent activism in the struggle to keep the concept of equality for all people at the forefront of public opinion and governmental policy, and protested racial discrimination contained in federal and state laws.
