August fire conditions pose a threat. Here is What you can do:

San Diego County has already experienced significant wildfires in 2025. Thankfully, our dedicated local firefighting teams and CalFire crews have been quick to respond, minimizing damage and keeping our communities safe. But make no mistake: “Warm and dry conditions will bring an above normal chance for significant fires to Southern California from the mountains westward”.

That includes Scripps Ranch. Stay prepared.

Take a few minutes to review your family’s fire readiness:

•Maintain defensible space around your home

• Prepare an evacuation plan

• Create a go-bag with essentials

• Stay alert to fire updates and warnings
