Yanni’s Bar & Grill raised $3,050 during a Hurricane & Fire Relief Fundraiser Dinner intended to help Americans in Northern California and Puerto Rico who were devastated by the wildfires and hurricane Maria, respectively.
Yanni’s organized and hosted the event on Nov. 20. The dinner included a complimentary wine tasting, reception and dinner buffet. A donation of $75 was suggested for each person attending, with the entire amount going to the cause. Many of the 24 guests who attended generously contributed more than the suggested amount.
Contributions were planned for the Redwood Empire Food Bank or the One America Appeal for Maria.
Yanni’s is known for planning and holding events to aid victims of tragic events in America. Earlier this year, longtime Scripps Ranch resident Yannis Pihas, owner of Yanni’s Bar & Grill, hosted a Hurricane Harvey Relief Fundraiser Dinner on Sept. 18. About 68 guests attended that event, donating approximately $5,400 to the hurricane relief fund.
Yanni’s Bar & Grill is located at 12015 Scripps Highland Drive.
