PET OF THE MONTH: Mija

Meet Mija, an energetic and sweet pup who adores people! Mija greets new friends with wiggles and a wagging tail, and with the help of some tasty treats, she’ll be your new best friend. Sometimes her excitement can get the best of her, so she’ll thrive with a structured environment and opportunities to channel her energy into positive outlets. In the yard, Mija hops around with joy and excitement, and shows off her zoomies. She walks well on a leash and responds well to positive reinforcement training. Mija has shown mixed reactions to other dogs in our care, so she is looking for a home where she can be the only dog. She has been waiting for a family of her own since August 2025. If you’re looking for a playful and loving companion to brighten your days, Mija could be your gal! Visit San Diego Humane Society’s San Diego Campus to adopt her today!
