Pet of the Week: Captain

Captain is an 8-year-old charming meatball looking for a new home. As the Captain of his own ship, he has decided that he does not want to be left alone. Captain has been working hard on his separation-related behaviors with his previous owner and is looking for a family who will continue his positive reinforcement training.

Captain is a big love bug and maintains that he is a lap dog despite his size. Captain’s adoption fee has been sponsored by Purina. If you think Captain sounds like a good fit for your home, make an appointment today to speak with an adoption counselor at sdhumane.org/adopt.

His adoption fee includes his neuter, current vaccinations, permanent microchip identification, a certificate for a free veterinary exam, an incentive for pet insurance from MetLife and a license for residence in the city limits of Carlsbad, Del Mar, Encinitas, Escondido, Imperial Beach, Oceanside, Poway, San Diego, San Marcos, Santee, Solana Beach or Vista.

Captain is available for adoption at San Diego Humane Society’s San Diego Campus at 5500 Gaines St. To learn more about making him part of your family, call (619) 299-7012.
