Jerabek holds Ranch Roundup
Jerabek Elementary School held its 37th annual Ranch Roundup on the afternoon and evening of June 2.
Children enjoyed an abundance of fun activities such as bouncy jump houses, a climbing wall, face painting pony rides, laser tag and a petting zoo.
There was also a talent show, cake walk and a raffle for a date with the winning student’s favorite Jerabek Elementary teacher. As if that wasn’t enough, this epic, western-themed carnival offered pedal carts, basketball and dodge ball games, a barbecue and assorted carnival games.
This year’s event included a cake decorating contest for both children and adults. The decorating theme was Movies & TV Shows. Another interesting activity was bubble soccer in which participants played soccer while inside giant inflated clear balls. As always, this exciting annual event would not have been possible without the many volunteers who helped prepare the carnival and kept it running, and cleaning up afterward.
