About the Sports & Fitness section
Scripps Ranch is a hotbed for athletics of all types. From Scripps Ranch High School sports to recreation leagues, individual sports, club teams and Little League, this place has it all.
Thanks to our wonderful climate, sports don’t really have seasons. Being an athlete here is a year-round endeavor. Local athletes not only compete in events, they challenge themselves and train all year long. Californians like to take care of themselves, and Scripps Ranch residents are no different. Today, athletes don’t wait for their respective season to arrive, they work hard to prepare their bodies every day. It’s a lifestyle. That’s why the Scripps Ranch News Sports & Fitness section will not only include reports about individual games and sporting events, it will include training tips, health and fitness advice from experts and information about nutrition. But we won’t forget about the more casual fitness enthusiasts, beginners or those trying to get back in shape or change their lifestyles. Fitness is a universal subject, and we will cover it all.
Naturally, the highlight of this Sports & Fitness section will be the showcasing of local athletes, trainers and health experts. While we will start slowly, you can bet this section will soon be filled with features about the area leagues and local athletes.
We’ll try to keep you updated on Scripps Ranch athletes who have progressed to college competition and beyond. We’ll even throw in some MLB coverage directly from the San Diego Padres.
No athletic subject will be turned away. We want to publish all games scores, all league standings and all individual performances. Contact us with any story ideas you might have. Send in your league scores and standings, game photos or short videos. Email: firstname.lastname@example.org
