Scripps United G2004 wins big at tournament

The Scripps Ranch Soccer Club’s Scripps United G2004 team captured the Cal South State Cup Governors Division Championship on Sunday, Feb. 25.

The team won seven games in a row over the course of three weekends, in a bracket of 87 teams, to enter the final game at Galway Downs, Temecula, against FRAM Soccer Club. Scripps Ranch was victorious, 2-1, in a hard-fought match.

During the 2017 season, the team had an incredible record of 26 wins, 6 losses and 2 ties. The team also scored an amazing total of 94 goals. Scripps United G2004 was directed by Coach Jeff Williamson and Manager Jim Wick. The SRSC Director of Coaching is Chacha Namdar.

The Scripps United G2004 team was also the 2016 and 2017 Presidio League champion.
