Sara Peelle and Karlee Van Dyke have teamed up as co-owners of Xtend Barre Scripps Poway, 12265 Scripps Poway Parkway.

Peelle has been an Xtend Barre co-owner for the past six years. She is bringing on Van Dyke, a former studio manager and Xtend Barre instructor, as her new co-owner.

Van Dyke has taught Xtend Barre, TRX®, and Pilatesstick® classes for the past 2 1/2 years as well as managing a studio.

“Not all barre is created equal,” Van Dyke said. “Xtend Barre delivers a powerful total body workout in an incredibly fun and vivacious atmosphere. Clients who love barre tell me time and again that Xtend Barre is totally unique and takes their routine to a whole new level.”

Xtend Barre provides group classes that incorporate barre exercises with the TRX®, Pilatesstick® and HIIT training. While traditional barre programs focus on repetition, the breadth of workouts at Xtend Barre are cardio-infused and energetic. Each class uses a combination of movements that enhance flexibility, improve balance and tighten the core designed to leave clients bodies strengthened, lengthened and chiseled.

“It’s low-impact but cardio-infused, so it’s good for your body but you’re also getting your heart rate up,” explained Tori Johnston, Xtend Barre Director of Marketing.

“It is a ballet barre workout at its foundation, but what sets Xtend Barre apart from other barre classes is really the full-body workout,” Johnston explained. “We offer many different class types including circuit classes, ballet and TRX®.”

Xtend Barre Scripps Poway will host a special “ThanXgiving” 75-minute Barrecamp class on Wednesday, Nov. 22 at 9:30 a.m. The class will be co-taught by Peelle and Van Dyke in celebration of this new partnership. In addition to this special event, Xtend Barre will also host a BarreLympics 30-day challenge to celebrate the upcoming Winter Olympic games as well as a Black Friday sale featuring 20 percent off memberships.
