Young poet sends ‘The Fly’

Ashwin Sundaresan, a kindergarten student at Ellen Browning Scripps Elementary School, wrote the following poem and wanted to share it with the Scripps Ranch community.

“The Fly”

It is now summer,
I spotted a bug.

Oh what a bummer!
It flew into my jug.

I gave a big yelp
And called my dad for help.

He came rushing down
With a big scary frown.

He swatted the fly
Out it came flying high

I waved him good bye
Oh poor little fly!
