Fall weather brings weekend showers

(Nov. 6) “The cooler temperatures have arrived!” according to a Facebook post by the National Weather Service San Diego office on Friday morning, Nov. 6. “Today starts a significant cooling trend for #SoCal. Saturday and Sunday will be the coolest days, with temperatures 15-25 degrees below normal for most locations.”

Here is a post from Thursday by the National Weather Service San Diego: “Get prepared for chilly and windy conditions with rain and mountain snow! Most rain and snow expected Saturday and Sunday with winds and cooler conditions expected to start tomorrow.”

This weekend storm will bring showers, but also winds. Here is the forecast:

Tonight: Showers likely, mainly after 4 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 58. West wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Saturday: Showers likely, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 10 a.m. High near 64. West wind between 10 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%.

Saturday Night: Showers likely, mainly before 10 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 55. West wind between 10 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Sunday: Showers likely, mainly after 10 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 63. West wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.

Sunday Night: Showers likely, mainly before 10 pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 51. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 64.
