Becky’s Gift Toy Drive begins soon
For nearly two decades, Scripps Ranch residents Becky Walton and Christie Jackson have been turning holiday generosity into meaningful moments for families affected by cancer. Now in its 17th year, Becky’s Gift Toy Drive is preparing for its biggest season yet, thanks to the continued kindness of donors throughout San Diego.
The holiday season can be especially difficult for families when a parent or grandparent is undergoing cancer treatment. While many charitable programs support children battling cancer themselves, Becky’s Gift focuses on a unique group that is often overlooked: the children and grandchildren of adults receiving cancer care. A simple toy can bring comfort, excitement, and a welcomed sense of normalcy during an otherwise challenging time.
This holiday season, the team hopes to collect 1,500 toys. The first round of toy deliveries is planned for Thanksgiving week, with donations going to seven local cancer centers throughout San Diego.
Ways to make a difference

Drop off a toy: Bring a new, unwrapped toy to one of the following collection sites between Nov. 2 and Dec. 18.
