Falcons finish with a victory
The victory was especially sweet since it was Senior Night for the Falcons players, who were successful in capping off a tough season with only their second victory of the year.
While the Falcons scored to take the lead in the first half, and scored again and again, the Buccaneers scored, then tried a surprising onside kick, which they recovered. Momentum definitely swung in the direction of Mission Bay as the Buccaneers came away with touchdowns of their own. The Mission Bay took advantage and kept the score close mounting a comeback and tying the score at 21-21 in the second quarter.

Based on the type of season it had been, the outcome of the game was very much in question at halftime, but the Falcons took over the game in the second half and never looked back.
Falcons senior receiver Keith Davis had the game of a lifetime and seemed to be everywhere. He scored six touchdowns, four on receptions, one rushing touchdown and returned an interception for another touchdown.
The 62 points Scripps Ranch piled up were the most for the team this season by far.
Scripps Ranch varsity football has nowhere to go but upward as first year coach Marlon Gardinera can look forward to freshmen and players from the JV teams, who gained valuable experience this season, rising up through the ranks to varsity next season.
