Falcons play in CIF Championship
The Scripps Ranch High School Falcons varsity football team will take on the La Jolla High School Vikings in the 2021 CIF-SDS Football Division 2 Championship game at 7 p.m. tonight, Nov. 26, in the Escondido High football stadium, 1535 N. Broadway, Escondido.
Scripps Ranch defeated La Jolla earlier this season in a classic 52-51 shootout, so fans can expect a real battle tonight.
This will be the second time in three years the two teams have met for the Division 2 championship. While the Falcons defeated the Vikings earlier in the 2019 season, La Jolla defeated Scripps Ranch 10-17 to win the championship game that year.
Scripps Ranch defeated Rancho Bernardo 28-7 on Nov. 19 in the semifinal round to earn a place in the championship game this season. Photos on this page are from the game against Rancho Bernardo.
