Gardeners focus on fruit trees

Being successful at growing fruit trees in your own backyard is the focus of the Sept. 26 meeting of the Scripps-Mesa Garden Club. The meeting at the local library at 6 p.m. will feature Eric Hoffman who will share his techniques in correctly planting and frugally irrigating a variety of trees in his Scripps Ranch garden. Hoffman harvests abundant crops of a variety of fruits each season.

Local gardeners meet monthly at the library Community Room or at nearby gardens to share experiences and to learn from Master Gardeners.
