Having completed practices and preparations after the Scripps Ranch Little League (SRLL) regular season, All-Star teams were announced over Memorial Day weekend. The 13-year-old Intermediate team kicked off the All-Star competition on June 15 vs. Point Loma with the younger squads just recently taking part on Saturday, June 24.

Scripps Ranch also had two teams in both the Little Stars (MAPS division) tournament being hosted by Rancho Peñasquitos Little League, and had two teams taking part in the 9U Future Stars tournament hosted by Scripps Ranch Little League, with both tournaments taking place over Father’s Day weekend.

“Our district holds a tournament of champions for minors, majors and intermediates,” said SRLL President Avi Barat.

These finished before the start of the All-Star game competitions, with the first rounds running through June 25. The winner of the upper minors, majors and intermediate regular season championships represent Scripps Ranch in the tournament of champions.

The Intermediate team was made up of 12 players managed by Kevin Hamilton and coached by Billy Walsh and Eric Hilton. The 12U All-Stars have a 13-player roster managed by Tim Spooner and coached by Patrick Farrell and Tyson Wooten. The 13-player roster of the 11U team is managed by Matt Green and coached by Lance Taschner and Kevin Hamilton.

The 10U All-Stars have 12 players on the roster managed by Neil Murphy and coached by Ryan Smith, Don Ardissone and Hamilton Arendsen. Games were underway at deadline.

Both the Upper Minors All-Division teams (blue and red) have 13-players on each squad with the Future Stars 9U tournament teams having 12 players each. The Lower Minors All-Division Red Team has 13 players while the Blue Team has 12. The MAPS Little Stars Red Team has 13 players; the same number as the Blue Team, just like the MAPS All-Division teams.
