Scripps Ranch places second in VB tourney
The Scripps Ranch High School varsity girls volleyball team finished second in its annual Scripps Ranch Volleyball Tournament held Sept. 24-25.
Scripps Ranch swept through Grossmont, El Camino and Eastlake on the first day of the tournament. Then, the team defeated Westview, El Camino again and Otay Ranch on the second day of the tournament before falling to San Marcos in the final game, according to MaxPreps.

The next scheduled games for the team include a home contest against Point Loma High School on Wednesday, Sept. 29, beginning at 6:15 p.m.; and a game at La Jolla High School on Friday, Oct. 1, starting at 6:15 p.m.
