Oceans of Love!

Birch Aquarium at Scripps Institution of Oceanography at UC San Diego is bringing a seasonal twist to its monthly after-dark event with Oceans at Night: Oceans of Love! Dive into the spicy sea-crets of love and courtship in the underwater world, get your groove on to a live DJ spinning love ballads and sip on some “Love Potion” cocktails and mocktails! Don’t miss special animal interactions, including an evening shark and ray feeding, tide pool feeding and the chance to see a rainbow of fluorescent coral in the Living Light experience. ‘Sideways Stories from Wayside School’

San Diego Junior Theatre presents “Sideways Stories from Wayside School,” running Feb. 28-March 16. Based on the popular series of books by Louis Sachar, “Sideways Stories from Wayside School” shows us all the wacky adventures that happen at the Wayside School. Pigtails come to life! The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch

The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch will open its gates to springtime enthusiasts beginning Saturday, March 1 for friends and families to wander among the colorful 55 acres of giant Tecolote ranunculus: a flower renowned for its large, double-petaled blooms that sit atop tall, straight stems. For the 2025 season, The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch welcomes its very first traveling exhibit and will serve as the colorful backdrop for artist Alex Heveri’s “Glass in Flight,” which features glass and steel sculptures of sparkling butterflies, dragonflies, bamboo, bees and insects.
