Poway OnStage announces dynamic 2026-2027 Season
Poway OnStage announced its 2026-2027 season at the Poway Center for the Performing Arts, featuring an exciting and diverse lineup of internationally acclaimed musicians, electrifying tribute productions, groundbreaking cultural performances, and unforgettable family programming.
The season features an extraordinary lineup of celebrated performers and productions beginning with GRAMMY-winning soul icon Mavis Staples, whose unforgettable evening of timeless music, storytelling and inspiration will showcase the legendary voice behind classics including “I’ll Take You There” and “Respect Yourself.”
• Next, founding member of The Beach Boys, Al Jardine, brings audiences a nostalgic journey through the California sound with beloved hits, rich harmonies and feelgood favorites spanning generations.
• Kick off the holiday spirit with The Modern Gentlemen – longest running members of Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons – delivering soaring harmonies, timeless hits and festive favorites in a high-energy seasonal celebration.
• Family audiences will delight in the theatrical magic of Curious George and the Golden Meatball, a playful musical adventure packed with catchy songs, globe-trotting fun, and heartwarming lessons for audiences of all ages.
• The season also spotlights internationally celebrated instrumental and cultural artistry with the return of International Guitar Night XXVII, featuring acclaimed performers Roxane Elfasci (France), Luca Stricagnoli (Italy), Jim Kimo West (Hawaii), and Minnie Marks (Australia) in an evening of guitar mastery.
• Audiences will also be transported by the exhilarating spectacle of Afrique en Cirque from Cirque Kalabanté – a breathtaking fusion of African acrobatics, live Afro-Jazz music, percussion, dance and gravity-defying human performance.
• Music fans can relive the excitement of the King of Pop with MJ LIVE: Michael Jaskon Tribute Concert, the acclaimed Las Vegas tribute production honoring Michael Jackson through electrifying choreography, iconic vocals, dazzling costumes, and nonstop chart-topping hits.
• TAKE3: Jukebox Rock reinvents the music of the 1970s through a bold instrumental fusion of rock, pop, country, and Americana, blending classical virtuosity with modern energy in a wildly entertaining concert experience.
• Rounding out the season is The Vinyl Revolution: Music from the ’60s and ’70s, an all-new Back to the Garden story concert celebrating the revolutionary albums and legendary artists that transformed popular music forever. Featuring music from icons including Elton John, Queen, Electric Light Orchestra, and Tina Turner, the production combines live performance and storytelling in a nostalgic journey through the golden age of vinyl records.
