Orchestra performs at Organ Pavilion
The Scripps Ranch High School (SRHS) orchestra performed live in concert at the Spreckels Organ Pavilion in Balboa Park on the afternoon of Sunday, May 19. The Falcons orchestra was the first ever high school orchestra to perform with the organ at the Pavilion.
San Diego civic organist Raul Prieto Ramirez performed with the SRHS orchestra. Selections ranged from a piece by Johann Sebastian Bach to Freddy Mercury’s “Bohemian Rhapsody.” The public is invited to hear the SRHS band and orchestra perform Grammy winning music from popular artists and motion pictures at Scripps Ranch High during the music department’s annual finale on Friday, May 31. Gates open at 5 p.m. and the concert starts at 7 p.m. There will be a variety of food trucks and a silent auction.
