Entertainment at Sanctuary Lounge
The Setting Sons acoustic guitar duo will play their Americana style of music at Sanctuary Lounge from 7 to 9:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 29. Setting Sons consists of Galen Cram (lead vocals, guitar, harmonica) and Rob Hanzlik (lead and slide guitar, vocals). DJ Rom and DJ Bull will then take over to spin tunes from 9:30 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Women’s Varsity Volleyball Tournament
The Scripps Ranch High School women’s varsity volleyball team is hosting a two-day tournament in its home gym on campus. Volleyball action begins Friday, Sept. 29 at 3:30 p.m. Play starts up again on Saturday, Sept. 30 beginning at 8:30 a.m.

SRHS Falcons football vs. Coronado
The Scripps Ranch High School varsity football team will attempt to gain its first victory of the season as it travels to Coronado High School for a 6:30 p.m. kickoff on Friday, Sept. 29. The Junior Varsity team will play the Coronado JVs starting at 3:30 p.m. that afternoon at Coronado.

Movie Night at Jerabek
Jerabek Elementary School Movie Night will feature “The Lorax.” This event, meant for Jerabek Elementary students and their families, begins at 6 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 29. Refreshments will be available for purchase from Carver, Coal & Barrell; Finest City Kettle Corn; and Kona Ice. Wear orange to show your “Lorax” spirit.

Active Scripps Ranch Singles
On Friday, Sept. 29, the Active Scripps Ranch Singles will join other San Diego singles groups at Cheers Bar, 9995 Carmel Mountain Road in Rancho Penasquitos. Dance to live rock as the band known as Wolff will be playing “tunes from both sides of the pond and beyond” from 8 to 11:30 p.m. Meet at 7:30 p.m., grab a drink and socialize before the band starts.

SRHS Water Polo team holds fundraiser
The Scripps Ranch High School (SRHS) men’s water polo team will hold a fundraiser at the Scripps Ranch Board & Brew this Saturday, Sept. 30 from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. at 9880 Hibert St., Suite E-3.

Drop by for a hearty sandwich. When placing your order, tell the cashier that you are supporting the SRHS men’s water polo team and 20 percent of the sale will go toward the water polo fundraiser.

The Scripps Ranch Farmers Market offers a wide array of vendors each Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at 10380 Spring Canyon Road, in the Innovations Academy parking lot.

‘Accomplice’
Scripps Ranch Theatre presents its production of “Accomplice” at the Legler Benbough Theatre on the campus of Alliant International University, 9783 Avenue of Nations. The play is described as a story filled with deception and talk of adultery and murder. “Accomplice” will run through Oct. 8. Free Puppy Playtime
On Saturday, Sept. 30, the Scripps Ranch Unleashed is offering Free Puppy Playtime to pet owners and their pups starting at 1 p.m. This is a puppy socialization time for puppies to play with one another. Pet owners must bring their pup’s vaccination records. Build a bond with your puppy while learning about puppy play and social development from a Petco Positive Dog Trainer.
