A perfect day for football

All five of the Scripps Ranch Pop Warner football teams played games on Saturday, Oct. 14. The weather was perfect for football and the conditions were excellent. Four of the local teams played at Scripps Ranch High School.

The air was crisp as the morning started off with the Falcons flag football team taking on the Poway Titans at 9 a.m. at the Scripps Ranch High School football field. The local youngsters were focused on the game as both teams moved up and down the field while on offense.
One coach from each team was allowed to stand on the field and display plays to their respective teams during huddles. It was on-the-job training at its best for the young players.

Pop Warner teams played throughout the day at Scripps Ranch High and four teams from outside Scripps Ranch were able to compete against one another, borrowing the high school field during the course of the long day. The last game began at 6 p.m., involving the Scripps Ranch Pop Warner JV Falcons vs. the Ramona Bulldawgs.
