Vikings rally to defeat Falcons
The SRHS boys varsity lacrosse team had an incredible run in the Division 1 CIF San Diego Section Boys Lacrosse Championships, making it all the way to the title game only to suffer a heartbreaking defeat at the hands of the La Jolla High School Vikings 8-10.
The Falcons were ahead at halftime but couldn’t hold the lead as the Vikings made an incredible come back in the second half. In fact, Scripps Ranch was ahead 6-4 late in the third quarter, but somehow La Jolla was able to score six goals before the game ended.
In spite of the defeat, the seventh-seeded Scripps Ranch team played some outstanding lacrosse throughout the playoffs on its way to challenge first-seeded La Jolla for the championship.
