Your Rehearsal Dinner Now Has a New Home

Wedding season has arrived in Scripps Ranch, and Yanni’s Bar & Grill has quietly become one of the neighborhood’s favorite places to celebrate – starting the night before the big day.

The restaurant’s garden patio, all warm light and greenery, has hosted a steady run of weddings, receptions and rehearsal dinners this summer. It’s the kind of setting that does half the work for you, which is precisely the point.

“A rehearsal dinner shouldn’t feel like a rehearsal,” says owner Yanni Pihas, who has run the restaurant with his wife, Denise, since 2003. “You relax, you eat well and we handle the rest.”

That last part is the experience: a full-service team, a garden setting and none of the stress that usually tags along with planning a big night.

Rehearsal dinners, ceremonies, receptions, engagement parties – if there’s a moment worth marking, the garden patio was built for it.
